SOS Outreach
Aki Kurose MSA teams up with SOS Outreach to provide Aki Students with an incredible experiential learning opportunity. SOS Outreach was founded in 1993 in Colorado's Vail Valley. It is a not-for-profit organization offering programs that build character and self-esteem in youth through snowsports and the SOS curriculum. Each SOS program integrates the five core values of our organization: Courage, Discipline, Integrity, Wisdom and Compassion. The core values are an integral part of the entire organization.
In addition to snowboarding and skiing instruction, the SOS curriculum includes consistent adult mentors, community service opportunities, and life skill workshops. Through these opportunities, and the adult mentor relationships that are central to the programs, SOS accomplishes its mission to enhance their decision-making for healthy and successful life experiences in all participants.

This program is made possible by the generous contributions of individuals who donate their time and/or money to make a direct and positive difference in a child’s life. Full scholarships are $95, but any amount donated will keep a good thing going. Please consider donating to the Aki Snowboarding program and help “Spread the Love.”
