Cycling China: Anji

Anji is an excellent locale for a cycling day trip from Shanghai. Anji seems to have it all, with a fantastic mix of flats, gentle rolling hills, and steep climbs. The dense lush scenery with its bamboo forests will lull you into the false belief that you are far from civilization when, in fact, the city with  all its amenities (read "fantastic food") is always just a few kilometers away.
